Wareham Hall is delighted to announce the addition of Breezy to our team! A Kansas native from Salina, Breezy moved to Manhattan in 2009 and immediately fell in love with the close-knit community and the stunning Flint Hills. With a diverse background in sales, project management, and hospitality, she brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for community engagement. When she’s not working, Breezy enjoys quality time with her daughter, hiking the scenic trails of Konza, and exploring local antique shops. She’s especially enthusiastic about the growing arts and music scene in Manhattan and is eager to contribute to projects that support this creative momentum.
We had the pleasure of sitting down with Breezy to learn more about her journey and what excites her about joining the Wareham Hall family.
What initially drew you to Manhattan, and what has kept you here for over a decade?
Initially, I moved here because, admittedly, I wanted to get away from home but stay close. When visiting nearby colleges and towns while in high school, Manhattan stood out as a welcoming community. Regionally, the area is beautiful, and with the friendly people, it was an easy choice. It’s a safe place with a diverse community of individuals. Since then, I’ve had my daughter, and this is home. I started working downtown two years ago and connected with many people in the area, forming friendships along the way. Seeing downtown grow and hearing Blade and Heidi’s dedication and excitement inspired me to want to be a part of this project.
What excites you most about being a part of the Wareham Hall team?
The Wareham Hall team’s dedication to connecting with organizations and individuals in the community to identify the needs and wants for this project in the heart of downtown inspires me. Imagining my daughter, and her children one day, enjoying and using this beautiful historic space is extremely exciting. I’m thrilled to be part of the future of Wareham Hall and the acts that will fill this space.
Anything particularly inspiring or exciting about being downtown?
What excites me most about being downtown is witnessing the growth. I know many people who leave town for concerts and shows, and if we can provide them the space to enjoy that within their own community, that’s a huge deal. It’s important to keep that revenue within our community while attracting people from other regions to stimulate growth. When I first moved to Manhattan, I didn’t know anyone who frequented downtown. I’ve witnessed a shift in that, which is only bound to get better as this project grows.
What are you most passionate about when it comes to supporting the arts and music scene in Manhattan?
I am most passionate about providing another space for young artists and musicians to flourish and grow. Having a venue like this is essential for the community—not only to host outside acts and music but also to give a home to artists of all ages right here in Manhattan.
